Christians suffer and fall victim to many of life’s common growing pains and personal tragedies from which they never allowed themselves to healed.
In our pain we often isolate ourselves from the very people who care about us the most. Our fear of rejection and need to be perfect keep us from discovering who we are and the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. He is our comforter, our counselor. our rock, without His presence in our lives we are incomplete.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, to bring good news to the afflicted, to bind up the brokenhearted, to comfort to all who mourn..” Is. 61:1-2
Hope is the anchor of our soul
It is His desire for truth in our lives, that gives us the strength to look at our pain and the hope that we can overcome these obstacles. As we overcome these obstacles we find ourselves being reconciled to our family, friends, and to Jesus Christ himself. Everyone has a period of time in their lives when things get tough. Whether its something brought on by ourselves or by outside forces, it can be a life changing situation.
Through the pain of it all, and the struggling, it should be a period when integrity of heart and solid character are developed by God. Before it is all over...if we have learned anything..We will be stronger than before.
Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you”
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
The most difficult step toward reconciliation is taking the responsibility of admitting to ourselves and God the hurts we have received and caused.
The next step toward healing our alienation and pain is to trust this pain with another who will both understand and provide sound biblical and emotional counsel.
We believe that as Christians we are to be held accountable to one another and to provide support to those who are in need.
